Bruno Munari（1907-1998） 是二十世紀的義大利藝術家與設計師，他的工作領域簡直超展開，橫跨繪畫、雕塑、平面與工業設計及書本，尤其是投注大量心力，和孩子一起為孩子創造的藝術書。美國攝影師 Jason Fulford（1973-） 和 Bruno Muniri 生活在兩個不同的時代，彼此從未見過面，不過正如 Jason Fulford 在書裡所說，他感到自己和 Bruno Munari 就像一對朋友。Jason Fulford 藉著研究 Bruno Muniri 檔案並展出的機會，編輯彙整了這 47 張照片。


作為一名以書作為核心媒介的影像創作者，Jason Fulford 經營藝術出版社 J&L Books，他身任編輯、設計與出版人等多重角色，這點與特意模糊工作與遊戲、創造與實用邊界的 Bruno Muniri 不謀而合。在 47 FOTOS 裡，Jason Fulford 挑選 Bruno Muniri 的黑白照片，有些由藝術家自己拍攝，有些是別人拍攝的藝術家，而 Jason Fulford 則從自己的照片檔案中選出彩色照片回應。兩人的彩色與黑白影像，形式、顏色、符碼與象徵在書裡互相交錯，引逗觀者帶著一點戲謔而好奇的眼光游走於現實之中。
