藝術家Tim Presley：「這系列作品圍繞在我戒掉藥物的那段期間。當時我離開了洛杉磯再次回到舊金山修復自己。我對音樂創作失去了興趣，因此我再次拿起了畫筆，將它視為一種寧靜甚或是治療。這些作品都是在2015-2019年間的創作，那段時間對我自己、對我的每一段關係和對我的家人來說都十分重要。」

《Under the Banner of Concern》是Presley的第三本藝術書籍，收錄了2019年初在洛杉磯The Pit II 畫廊首次舉辦的藝術個展「Under the Banner of Concern」作品與未曝光的畫作與詩作。白紙黑墨的畫作以戲劇性的線條筆觸解構人物，扁平的身體與性別特徵、一雙雙被掏空的眼神與埋藏在畫中的文字訊息，強烈地呈現了他透過不同媒介融合抽象和表現主義紀錄人類的各種姿態與複雜的情感。

Presley的詩作是他思想的痕跡，在巧妙的文字遊戲中游盪，思考生活中的各種莫名其妙。他的文字讓人質疑語言本身的含義，更進一步明白單字之於生活的意義如何超越字典定義本身。

Tim Presley是來自舊金山的音樂家、製作人和藝術家，他的職業生涯始於hardcore punk樂團 Model American 和 The Nerve Agents。除了以自己的名義發行音樂外，他也以DRINKS、WX 以及最著名的 White Fence 發行專輯。

除了對音樂的追求並在樂壇涉略廣泛，Presley也在藝術領域一展長才，分別於2010年及2016年推出自己的繪畫與詩集作品《You Don’t Have Your Eyes Yet》、《Mush》。他認為視覺藝術和音樂相輔相成，因此他也親自為自己的專輯視覺操刀。
