「從一塊實木開始反覆削薄，我想知道在什麼厚度的瞬間，手能感受到回彈的韌性。替換石頭一顆又一顆，由小到大，我想知道哪一刻重力掙脫摩擦，聽見滑落的聲音。

張力與平衡，臨界與安穩，我在一種狀態過渡為另一種狀態的過程中，尋找隱性的節奏或法則。有時來自經驗的想像，有時順應材料浮現的指向，試著貼近某個尚未明朗的形式。

物質和物質之間存有縫隙，而這縫隙中似乎承載著關係的總和；我感覺到一切萬物裡有人的意志，人裡頭也有一切萬物的意志。我拾取這些感知。」

於台灣修習工業設計後赴日本東京工作，後於瑞士洛桑藝術與設計學院（ECAL）攻讀奢侈品與工藝設計。2021年於台北成立messagingleaving，實踐橫跨家具家飾、雕塑物件、裝置藝術。
張家翎擅長從材料性質與物理現象中提取線索，廣泛運用木、玻璃、金屬等媒材，透過對結構和製程的細膩思考，將抽象感知轉化為精確而富有詩意的形式。近年來，亦持續與不同領域的工藝師及品牌合作，在工業製造與工藝文化之間尋找平衡。
