來自韓國首爾的藝術家 Seungwhan Kim 大部份時候以「Bird Pit」身份出沒在社群媒體或國際藝術書展之中。擅長以鉛筆或色鉛筆進行插畫創作，也時常將筆下角色以手縫玩偶帶進真實世界。在他看似童趣的繪畫風格之下，以幽默的方式描繪下那些時常出沒在日常生活中充滿諷刺的場景與事件。以如同籠中鳥的視野揭示自身看待世界的樣貌。



《Bird Pit》一書的內容是由《Portraits of the Ugly (醜陋的肖像)》系列畫作所組成。描繪了對周遭一切都不滿意的人們，以及他們宣洩不滿的方式，這些人就像被困在籠中的鳥。Bird Pit 以空中俯視的角度將他們的行為一一記錄下來。
