Kitty Crowther是一位比利時創作者，他為兒童寫作和繪製故事，目前已有超過三十本出版作品。2010年，他以直視內心黑暗、充滿張力的兒童繪本Annie Du Lac（中譯本為《湖畔的安妮》）獲得林格倫紀念獎。⁣

2021年，產下第二個孩子後的調養期間，她開始創作一系列原本不打算出版的作品。每件作品的尺幅都不大，以描繪「臉」和相同的媒材為基礎，利用豐富、時而瘋狂的筆觸和大膽濃烈的顏色，對人的形象提問。一百多張頭像雖然都有類似的基本構造，但神態、容貌、髮型和顏色等，展現了無限的多樣性。這系列的作品也在完成後，於歐洲各國進行展出。⁣

除了上述作品外，Face the Day也收錄了2022年，Kitty Crowther在法國R.L.D工作室駐村期間，創作的單版畫。⁣
