Karl Nawrot 來自法國的設計師，在字體設計與抽象圖形設計上，作品經常具備著明顯的建築敏感的結構特質，由類似建築的模版結合了插圖和抽像圖形組成。他也經常使用與建築過程相關的技術來創造，透過不同的媒材所構成的形式。 曾在著名的Gerrit Rietveld Academie教授繪畫，並且在首爾大學任教三年。

I don’t really work conceptually but I follow an organic way of working instead －Karl Nawrot 。

本書匯集了2004年至2017年之間900多幅到精選作品，並且是由設計師親自編輯。Karl Nawrot在創作的時候，會先建立一個像是物理上的敘述，似乎是過程一般地呈現，以便了解與釐清自我在尋找什麼，對他來說，最重要結果是必須與過程相連的，就像是一本小說。

設計師於2007年開始了模塊的實驗，結合3D網格的概念，具備神秘的抽象性與雕塑性，透過各種材料，無論是用鉛筆、墨水、泡沫板，卡片紙還是金屬製成，都展現了設計師的實驗精神。
