我們常藉由衣著和居家內裝，推測一個人的品味，並在期間發現能代表他價值觀的蛛絲馬跡；而打開一個針線盒，又可以看見什麼呢？

簡單的縫補雖是生活所需，但針線盒似乎不再是現今居家的常用之物，更可能需要打撈，才能從遙遠的記憶中提取出最近一次穿針引線的家政課回憶；也因此，一個針線盒從外盒的選擇到內部收納的物件，都可能乘載了停滯於某時刻的零星片段、或者綿延至今的個人風格。
 
有些人的針線盒極為簡易，只是一掌心大的摺疊小包；有些人的則齊全如多寶格，層層疊疊的抽屜拉開又分為無數小格，材料和說不出名字的新舊工具幾乎就要滿溢而出；也有人分裝針、線、剪和鈕釦於數個食品夾鏈袋，一目瞭然如檔案歸位。
 
透過攝影師大橋愛（Eye Ohashi）的眼睛，《Sewing Box》中乍看簡單平凡的拍攝內容，陳列著兼具熟悉與陌生的主題，無論是工具箱或者餅乾鐵盒中竄出的卡通圖貼或者彩色珠針，在細細的探索和玩味針線盒內外的同時，即使未必能感到親近切身，卻也別有一番到朋友家作客般的趣味。
