在夜色籠罩的都市裡按下快門，站在眼前的他成了沒有臉孔的剪影，而他身後電子屏中廣告裡的男性臉孔卻清晰地浮現。

那一刻，身為同志的我意識到，當我凝視著與自己擁有相同性傾向的男性時，他既是我欲望的對象，同時也像一面鏡子，映照出我自己。我對於社會所定義的「男人」感到疏離，卻又同時對「男性氣質」懷抱渴望。這兩種矛盾的情感並存著。那些若有似無、難以被定義的男性形象，讓我的自我認同產生動搖與迷惘。

在這本攝影集中反覆出現的粉紅色，象徵著多重意義——既是投射自我的鏡像之「男」，也是欲望所指向的「男」，同時也是在社會中長期被邊緣化的男性同志的隱喻。

本書試圖描繪一位青年在各種「男人」的形象之間遊走、徘徊，並在其中摸索自身認同的抽象旅程。
